The World Journalism Education Council is an informal coalition representing 32 academic associations worldwide that are involved in journalism and mass communication at the university level. By bringing organizations from six continents together, the Council hopes to provide a common space for journalism educators from around the world and to focus on issues that are universal in the field.
The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) is a nonprofit, educational association of journalism and mass communication educators, students and media professionals. The Association’s mission is to promote the highest possible standards for journalism and mass communication education, to cultivate the widest possible range of communication research, to encourage the implementation of a multi-cultural society in the classroom and curriculum, and to defend and maintain freedom of communication in an effort to achieve better professional practice and a better informed public.
The Australian and New Zealand Communication Association (ANZCA) is a professional association for teachers and researchers in the diverse disciplines of communication. The Association provides its members with a subscription to two of the best Australian journals. Media International Australia incorporating Culture and Policy and the Australian Journal of Communication, and it conducts an annual conference for presentation of refereed papers in all disciplines.
