Australian Journalism Monograph

About this page

Australian Journalism Monograph provides journalism researchers with a venue to showcase their research in a long-form article of up to 12,000 words.

Previous editions of AJM have showcased a diversity of journalism research from journalism as a student career choice, to media culture and media coverage of the Fiji coup to more recent editions which have focused on press freedom and remote Indigenous reporting – amongst much else.

The Editorial Board of AJM is based at Bond, UniSA and Griffith Universities.

A call for abstracts is issued in January/February each year with an expected monograph submission date of July 31.
